"Dwarpuza" is one of the most important ritual which is performed in Kashmiri marriages. Here father of the bride greets and welcomes the father of the groom officially in presence of the kulguru what we call as "Kolbrahmun" or in simple words the guruji. Guruji recites some religious mantras and asks the old duo to greet each other by hugging.

After the puja performed by the  brides father now it is the turn of bride's mother to do the same. Flowers are put on both feet, both knees, both shoulders and finally on the head of the groom and the bride.
