Acknowledgement

I feel pleasure in expressing my gratitude to Dr. G.K. Mujoo, a professor turned journalist, who motivated me to write on the exoduses of kashmiri pandits from the valley of Kashmir down the centuries till yesterdays. I am indebted to him for having been kind enough to publish the dolorous account in the form of a series of articles in his weekly "Sahyogi Times".

I am extremely thankful to Prof. B.N. Sharma for his generous guidance and assistance in reshaping and refining upon the manuscript and making the relation stand in bold relief so as to make the reader relieve the tragic history of the exoduses.

I am equally thankful to Er. Rohit Mirakhur (Pune) for his valuable help in resetting the published articles in the form of the present booklet.

I very gratefully acknowledge the help of all those who encouraged me in this endeavour.

Prof. K.L. Bhan
